Google launches Connected Apps Platform preview for Gemini and Search

Google announced the preview of a Connected Apps Platform that gives developers a single place to build, register, test and manage apps that integrate with the Gemini app and Google Search. Developers integrate via a cloud-hosted MCP server or Android MCP using AppFunctions APIs and use the Google Connected Console to submit, control branding, and monitor traffic; access will open in phases and partners such as Adobe, Calm, Peloton, Experian and Localiza are already live in Gemini with some integrations coming to Search.
