D.C. appeals court lets Pentagon supply‑chain risk designation for Anthropic stand
A three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit refused to overturn one of the Pentagon’s supply‑chain risk designations for Anthropic’s Claude, issuing a 2–1 decision that the Department of Defense had adequate grounds; the ruling leaves the Pentagon’s ban on using Claude in some federal systems in place while a separate San Francisco ruling had vacated the other designation. Anthropic says it may seek further review en banc or at the U.S. Supreme Court.
