Posit's Positron IDE runs on Amazon SageMaker AI with Bedrock-enabled Posit Assistant
Posit published a Positron container image definition that can be registered with Amazon SageMaker AI so administrators can attach the IDE to a SageMaker Studio domain. Running Positron on SageMaker AI lets data scientists query governed AWS data (Athena, Glue, S3) under a Space execution role, launch Spaces on reserved or on-demand SageMaker compute, collaborate in shared or parallel Spaces, and use Posit Assistant with Amazon Bedrock as the model provider inside the customer's AWS account and region.
