Anthropic's Grok now offers 'Automations', which let users describe a task once and have Grok run it on a schedule or when matching emails arrive; automations can include files, connectors, skills, and produce run histories. Automations are available at grok.com and in the Grok iOS and Android apps; scheduled automations are available to all users, while email triggers are included with SuperGrok.
SpaceXAI says it has released Grok 4.5, its newest model trained alongside Cursor and optimized for coding, agentic workflows, and knowledge work. The company reports training across tens of thousands of NVIDIA GB300 GPUs, claims roughly 2× token efficiency versus leading models, 80 TPS serving speed, and priced the model at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens; Grok 4.5 is available in Grok Build, Cursor, and via the SpaceXAI console with limited free usage offered.
Grok is now available as a free Microsoft 365 add-in for Excel, letting users ask questions in plain English, generate formulas from descriptions, run scenarios, and insert charts that cite the source cells. The add-in can pull context from recent emails or files in SharePoint and Google Drive, is installable from the Microsoft Marketplace, and is also available for Word and PowerPoint.
Cursor has expanded access to Grok Bot — its agent-style AI teammate — making it included with SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and all Cursor Teams plans. Grok Bot (launched in beta on August 11) operates with its own usage quota separate from existing Grok and Cursor plan quotas and can run tasks across apps, browsers, and terminals as a persistent digital colleague.
