Google DeepMind makes SynthID Detector globally available and adds support for OpenAI, NVIDIA, Kakao
Google DeepMind announced global availability of SynthID Detector, a tool that checks images, audio, and video for SynthID cryptographic watermarks from partner providers (currently OpenAI, NVIDIA, and Kakao; Apple support is expected soon) via uploads to SynthID.com. The detector returns a yes/no signal but can produce false negatives when content is heavily altered and does not detect media from providers using other watermarking schemes (e.g., Meta or Microsoft).
