NVIDIA publishes SimReady CAD-to-simulation workflow using Omniverse and GPT-6 Astra
NVIDIA demonstrates a five-step SimReady workflow using Omniverse libraries and SimReady Foundation specifications to convert an ABB YuMi STEP model into simulation-ready OpenUSD assets, configure physics (joints, collision geometry, mass, friction), validate against SimReady checks, and run pick-and-place tests in Isaac Sim. Frontier AI models such as GPT-6 Astra and Omniverse agent skills (e.g., the CAD-to-SimReady skill) are shown assisting by generating Python to call Omniverse tools and reduce manual preparation effort.
