Pew global survey finds majority fear AI will cost jobs
Pew Research surveyed 42,151 people across 37 countries (Feb 8–May 13) and found that in 34 of 37 countries respondents are more likely to believe AI will cause job losses over the next 20 years than create new jobs; concern is highest in wealthier countries such as Australia, South Korea, and the US. The survey also shows many expect AI to widen income inequality, younger adults express mixed but rising anxiety, and a global median of 41% feel equally concerned and excited about AI's growing role in daily life.
