WebAnything: automated framework that reconstructs source-grounded, reusable web environments for agent training
WebAnything is a fully automated framework that reconstructs source-grounded, reusable web environments from real URLs without per-site manual engineering or post-setup repair. The authors build 244 website artifacts across 14 domains (53 categories), support 12,984 executed and accepted tasks, report wins over human-assisted WebHarbor on three fidelity metrics (12 wins, 2 ties, 0 losses in a blind audit), and show that fine-tuning Qwen3.5-9B on 5,856 collected interaction trajectories improves several benchmark success rates (e.g., REAL +9.9 pp, WebArena-Verified +13.33 pp); code is published on GitHub.
KEY POINTS
- WebAnything is a fully automated framework that reconstructs source-grounded, reusable web environments from real URLs without per-site manual engineering or post-setup repair.
- The authors build 244 website artifacts across 14 domains (53 categories), support 12,984 executed and accepted tasks, report wins over human-assisted WebHarbor on three fidelity metrics (12 wins, 2 ties, 0 losses in a blind audit), and show that fine-tuning Qwen3.5-9B on 5,856 collected interaction trajectories improves several benchmark success rates (e.g., REAL +9.9 pp, WebArena-Verified +13.33 pp); code is published on GitHub.
- Provides a scalable, source-grounded way to create reproducible web environments for training and evaluating web agents, reducing per-site engineering and improving downstream model performance.
