Granite Switch 4.1.1 patch adds multilingual ASR and improved Decision adapter
Granite Switch 4.1.1 is a backward-compatible patch to the modular Switch architecture that updates Granite Speech ASR (multilingual speech-to-text with native punctuation and capitalization) and the Decision adapter in granitelib-core (improved performance on the Jev Decision Index). The release required no base-model retraining — teams compose and deploy updated adapters, and Granite says an Adapter SDK and tutorials for third-party adapters are coming.

- The release required no base-model retraining — teams compose and deploy updated adapters, and Granite says an Adapter SDK and tutorials for third-party adapters are coming.
- Shows that a modular adapter architecture enables fast, backward-compatible model updates (including improved ASR and decision performance) without retraining the base model and opens the door for third-party adapter development.
