LitPivot: system that links literature-backed critiques and revision suggestions to early research ideas
LitPivot is an interactive system that segments a draft research proposal into facets (problem, contribution, evaluation), groups and ranks papers from Asta Paper Finder by facet, and generates literature-supported critiques plus editable revision suggestions. In a lab study with 17 researchers, domain experts rated ideas produced with LitPivot as better grounded in the literature and participants reported their revised ideas as more novel and useful; the work will be presented at UIST 2026.
