Conversational Gemini navigation arrives on Apple CarPlay (US)
Google has added conversational Gemini capabilities to Google Maps on Apple CarPlay, available today for drivers in the United States, with Google saying a global rollout is underway. The feature lets CarPlay users tap a Gemini icon on their car’s infotainment display to ask multi-step navigation and place-finding queries (for example, get recommendations then route there while avoiding tolls); Google has not yet said whether the Personal Intelligence personalization features announced for Android Auto will be available on CarPlay.
