DeepMind, Meta, and Isomorphic Labs invest $300M in Biohub to build 'virtual cell' AI datasets
Google DeepMind, Meta, and AI drug-discovery startup Isomorphic Labs will jointly invest $300 million in Biohub as part of a $1.8 billion initiative to build AI datasets intended to let researchers 'ask, predict, and answer biological questions digitally.' The U.S. Department of Energy plans to contribute more than $500 million over five years, and the NIH will supply datasets and repositories stemming from prior federal investments totaling over $500 million.
