Reddit to disable RSS feeds on Nov 13 and close public API by March 2027 over scraping and AI abuse
Reddit announced it will end support for RSS feeds on November 13 and terminate public API access by March 2027, saying RSS and open API endpoints have become vectors for large-scale scraping and automated abuse. The changes will affect moderators, third-party apps, researchers, social-listening tools and AI assistants; Reddit recommends moderators move to the Discord Relay Devvit app and requires developers to register apps by Jan 12, 2027 to retain access.
