MIT PKG Center’s 2026 Code.Tulsa places students in tribal AI/data internships and STEM camp

MIT undergraduates in the PKG Center’s 2026 Code.Tulsa program completed AI, data science and community‑based projects while living in Tulsa, interning with the Muscogee Nation Department of Health, local nonprofits, and helping develop the nation’s first PRAMS maternal‑health survey while addressing data sovereignty. The program, supported by the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation and the George Kaiser Family Foundation, also ran the Tulsa Advanced Sciences Camp (TASC), a weeklong STEM program that selected 25 campers from 10 tribes out of 160 applications.
