Battlefield drone data from Ukraine is spawning a Wild West data marketplace
MIT Technology Review reports that wrecked and active drones in Ukraine are generating large volumes of geospatial and surveillance data that are being collected, traded, and monetized, creating an emerging and loosely regulated marketplace for drone-derived data. This pool of information could persist beyond the conflict and be repurposed for defense, commercial, and AI applications.
