Microsoft updates Copilot with 'Autopilot' OpenClaw agent and usage-based billing
Microsoft is reorganizing the Copilot app into Home, Code, and a new Autopilot agent built on OpenClaw that will run continuously in the cloud and act proactively for businesses; Autopilot enters private preview in late September. The company is also shifting Autopilot, Code and Cowork to usage-based billing while keeping chat and Office integrations under the standard Copilot license, and adding model-routing and FinOps tools to manage costs.
