Cohere launches Compass Cloud as managed private beta
Cohere is offering Compass — its document parsing and retrieval platform for RAG, search, and agent workflows — as a managed cloud product called Compass Cloud, entering a limited private beta while continuing to support self‑hosted deployments for regulated customers. The managed service centralizes ingestion, indexing, embedding, retrieval, reranking, and permissions, and provides connectors (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive), an MCP server, and a Python SDK to simplify enterprise deployment and reduce operational overhead.
