Anthropic building San Francisco-area biology lab where Claude will guide robots
Anthropic is establishing a biology lab near San Francisco to run physical drug experiments with AI guidance; the company plans for Claude to direct robots through experiments using tools such as Claude Science and the Model Hardware Standard, with human oversight retained. The move follows Anthropic's acquisition of Coefficient Bio (about $400 million) and addition of Novartis CEO Vas Narasimhan to its board; Anthropic says it will not run clinical trials for now.
