ByteDance launches Dramagic, full-pipeline AI platform for short dramas
ByteDance unveiled Dramagic, an enterprise AI platform sold through its BytePlus arm that automates the full short‑drama production pipeline—from script analysis and character creation to storyboarding, multiuser collaboration, and video previews—with built‑in consistency checks. The launch comes amid rapid growth in AI‑generated short dramas in China (China Netcasting Services Association says Q1 2026 output surged, with ~95% AI‑generated) and claims of sharply lower per‑minute costs.
