Meta’s Muse assistant stores persistent ‘Memory’ and prompts users to link more data
Meta’s new Muse AI assistant, promoted across Instagram and available on WhatsApp and Messenger, has been downloaded over 900,000 times in its first week (Sensor Tower). The app uses a virtual browsing agent and a persistent “Memory” document to store user preferences and interactions, can connect to email, banking (via Stripe) and other services, and currently offers no global toggle to disable its Memory feature—though users can edit or request wipes.
