LabAgent: AI agents to capture, reproduce and extend lab methods for scientific discovery
Authors propose LabAgent, a reproduce-and-discovery framework of AI agents designed to preserve, verify and extend laboratory methods and corrective experiences so skills can be executed and errors avoided. They applied LabAgent to drug property prediction, biomedical analysis, protein variant effect prediction and statistical genetics, and report it outperformed commercial generalist agents and accurately reproduced a published figure.
