Anthropic told Reuters it operates a wet biology lab where it can use its AI models to run physical experiments, and said the facility does some internal research while collaborating with external partners. The company — which acquired Coefficient Bio in April — declined to detail the lab’s projects, said it is not focused on drug discovery, and launched a Life Sciences Verification Program to give vetted researchers access to its most powerful models.
