OpenAI's Images 2.6 lets ChatGPT create and edit GIFs
OpenAI is rolling out Images 2.6 across ChatGPT and Codex on web, desktop, and mobile, enabling users to create GIFs from prompts or uploaded photos, adjust animation speed, and edit individual frames. The update also introduces faster image generation via new API variants (GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst) and accompanies OpenAI's report of about 4 billion images generated per week across ChatGPT and its API.
