OpenAI is folding its Work product into ChatGPT, merging Chat and Work interfaces and, starting in December, consolidating Plus, Pro, and Business plans onto a single token budget that covers ChatGPT and Codex. Chats using Instant models will be excluded from the shared budget; users can monitor remaining tokens, wait for resets, upgrade plans, or purchase extra credits when they hit limits.
OpenAI doubled Work and Codex usage quotas for its Pro 100 and Pro 500 plans, and increased the lower quota on Pro 200 while reversing a planned cut after user pushback; the Plus plan is unchanged. New subscriptions already include the updated quotas and existing customers receive them automatically; Dot usage remains tracked separately and OpenAI says capacity gains will come from new, more efficient 6.1 models (Terra and Sol).
