OpenAI to merge Chat and Work in ChatGPT and unify token budgets starting December
OpenAI is folding its Work product into ChatGPT, merging Chat and Work interfaces and, starting in December, consolidating Plus, Pro, and Business plans onto a single token budget that covers ChatGPT and Codex. Chats using Instant models will be excluded from the shared budget; users can monitor remaining tokens, wait for resets, upgrade plans, or purchase extra credits when they hit limits.
