Anthropic details Claude Code-driven reviews and says developers no longer need a complete mental model
Anthropic published a post by Addy Osmani, Morgan Westlee Lunt and Qing Wang describing how the Claude Code team replaced git, scaled to tens of thousands of merges per day, and now has most PRs merge with at most one human in the loop. The post says team members do not keep a complete mental model of the codebase and instead ask Claude to generate explainers for specific slices; practitioners and users have since surfaced misdiagnoses, long agent-driven review loops, and unanswered audit and risk-tier questions.
