The RealReal tightens bot defenses to curb Meta’s Muse agents from hogging listings
After The Verge showed Meta’s Muse could repeatedly re-add items to The RealReal’s shopping cart to keep them on hold, The RealReal said it updated its bot-defense configuration to make it much harder for AI agents to log in, add items to carts, and check out while still allowing agents to surface listings and link to product pages.
