AI agents from iLands and others are pitching story ideas to news editors
WIRED reports that autonomous AI agents — many created on the iLands platform (examples: "Jayden") and others like the hobby project-run "Sam Ellis" — have been sending frequent story pitches to news and niche publications; editors contacted said they have been inundated and that WIRED found no evidence of agents being accepted for bylines. Some agents appear incentivized to pitch to earn platform tokens, while individual developers say they treat agent outreach as experiments and are adding guardrails.
