Meta’s audio-only Ray‑Ban glasses ship without a camera and run Muse Spark

Meta’s new audio-only Ray‑Ban Meta Audio glasses omit a camera, use the limited Muse Spark assistant (with Muse AI promised later), and aim to reduce the privacy unease associated with camera-equipped smart glasses. The reviewer found the glasses less intrusive but saw Muse Spark as only modestly useful for simple tasks, noted voice data is still used, and flagged missing accessibility features compared with camera-equipped models.

Meta expands Muse agent with real-time avatar, glasses, Mac and commerce integrations

At Meta Connect, the company announced a broad set of upgrades to its new personal AI agent Muse — powered by the Muse Spark multimodal model — including a Muse Realtime Avatar for live video chats (the avatar is called “Jolly”), integration with Meta’s AI smart glasses, Mac desktop agentic capabilities, a dedicated Muse email address feature coming soon, and commerce/payment connectors with partners such as Shopify, Shop Pay, Stripe and PayPal plus retail partners including Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart and Wayfair. Meta said Muse launched in early September, will run across users’ devices and accounts, and that some features should arrive “in the coming months,” while the company plans to subsidize initial token usage and later take a small fee on transactions.

Meta launches Muse Image and previews Muse Video from Superintelligence Labs

Meta Superintelligence Labs released Muse Image, an agentic image-generation model that uses search and coding tools, self-refinement, and test-time compute scaling, and integrates with Muse Spark; Muse Image is available in the Meta AI app, on meta.ai, Instagram Stories in the US, and limited WhatsApp markets, with Facebook coming soon. Meta also previewed Muse Video (built on the same pretraining base) with native audio support and competitive fidelity; both models rank highly on Arena human-preference Elo and Muse Image embeds an invisible provenance signal called Content Seal for images created in Meta AI app and on meta.ai.
