Vercel Labs open-sources fx — a Zig-written embeddable coding agent (v0.0.13)
Vercel Labs has released fx as open source: an experimental coding agent and CLI written in Zig, packaged as a small native binary and designed to be scripted or embedded via libfx (including a WebAssembly build) rather than run as a persistent terminal UI. fx is model-agnostic with multiple provider endpoints listed (Vercel AI Gateway, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Grok, Ollama, OpenRouter), is still pre-1.0 and evolving quickly — release 0.0.13 added an Ultrafast mode and noted checkpoint compatibility caveats.
