Anthropic consults law firms to set negotiation norms for Claude-powered agents
Anthropic is consulting law firms to develop fair negotiation norms for AI agents that could haggle over prices, resolve complaints, or improve contract offers. The company is also hiring Conceptual Reasoning Fellows — including lawyers — to test Claude on judgment-heavy legal and humanities tasks, after experiments showed stronger models negotiate better deals and may widen inequality.
