Google published a Crisis Resilience white paper outlining its disaster preparedness efforts, including expansion of the Android Earthquake Alerts System and AI-based forecasts for floods, cyclones (WeatherNext), and near-real-time wildfire mapping (FireSat). The company says its flood forecasting covers more than two billion people in 150 countries, cyclone predictions reach up to 15 days, and Google connected people with crisis information an average of over 10 million times per day in 2025.
