Google releases 2025 EU Economic Impact Report citing >€200B contribution and AI impact
Google published its 2025 EU Economic Impact Report (developed with Implement Consulting Group), which estimates Google’s products, platforms, infrastructure, Cloud and AI technologies contributed more than €200 billion to EU GDP—about €157B from products/platforms, €32B from AI and Cloud, and €11B from infrastructure/offices. The report highlights use cases (e.g., a Gemini-assisted rebrand for IPERA and Renault Group’s factory AI deployments) and projects AI could add up to €1.2 trillion annually to the European economy within a decade, while calling for predictable regulation and skills training (Google says it has trained 13 million people in the EU).
