Nvidia tones down DLSS 5 visuals for Hogwarts Legacy, ships October model update
Nvidia will deploy DLSS 5 in Hogwarts Legacy on November 5 (and in Where Winds Meet later in the month) with subtler facial and environmental changes than earlier demos. Nvidia also plans an October DLSS 5 model update — debuting in NBA 2K27 on October 16 — that reduces the model footprint ~24% to ~118 million parameters, cuts 4K VRAM use by ~20%, and should run roughly twice as fast on RTX 50-series GPUs and upcoming RTX Spark laptops; an Nvidia app beta adds a faster Frame Generation mode up to ~35% faster with minor image-quality trade-offs.
