Minions: distributed virtual GPU cloud using idle Apple Silicon macOS devices
The paper introduces Minions, a system that aggregates idle GPUs in Apple Silicon–based macOS devices into a dynamic, distributed virtual GPU cloud for large-scale machine learning inference, providing flexible task execution, fault tolerance, and improved resource utilization so teams can use existing hardware instead of buying additional GPUs.
