Google updates Health app, pairs new Fitbit devices, and adds contextual reasoning for automatic activity tracking

Google announced updates to the Google Health app and Health Coach, new Fitbit hardware (Fitbit Air and Fitbit Edge) and accessories, plus a suite of Health Guardian tools for Google Health Premium users. The company says it expanded automatic activity detection from ~10 to 100+ activities using contextual reasoning to improve accuracy (Google says nearly 2x more accurate), will auto-log workouts meeting thresholds, and is adding integrations with Flo Health, Abbott’s Lingo CGM (US), and MyFitnessPal.
