Actor Ben Affleck has gone viral after interview clips in which he discusses machine learning concepts (neural networks, tensors, transformers, inference) and describes how he fine-tuned open video models by 'unfreezing' weights and training a final cinematic layer; he says he created proprietary datasets for ethical, production-grade use and previously sold his AI filmmaking startup (InterPositive) to Netflix for a reported $587M, a figure he disputes. Affleck also said he visited OpenAI and used such techniques on his film Animals.
