MIT launches 'MIT for America' initiative to strengthen K–community college STEM and AI education
MIT announced a new Institute-wide initiative, MIT for America, to expand scalable, high-touch STEM education programs across the U.S., targeting students from kindergarten through community college. The initiative focuses on three priority areas—mathematical thinking (building on the MIT for America Calculus Project), living/learning/working with AI (including teacher education and the MIT RAISE program), and hands-on design and making—and was announced by President Sally Kornbluth.
