Google finances 890 MW of nuclear uprates with Constellation and will deploy Gemini Enterprise to optimize plants
Google announced a financing and power purchase agreement with Constellation Energy to enable 890 MW of additional nuclear capacity on the PJM grid via uprates and restarts across six existing plants in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and said Constellation will deploy Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise agentic workflows to accelerate planning, construction, and plant optimization. Google said this deal brings its total enabled nuclear capacity from uprates and restarts to over 1.5 GW and that the uprates are expected online before the end of 2032.
