OpenAI and Synopsys partner to build GPT-Synopsys chip-design model
OpenAI and Synopsys announced a multi-year strategic partnership to develop GPT-Synopsys, a specialized AI model that can reason about chip design and directly operate Synopsys' electronic design automation (EDA) tools. The model will run on OpenAI's infrastructure, use Synopsys' licensed tools, exclude customer data from training with encrypted storage, is being tested with semiconductor customers, and will be co-marketed with shared revenue.
