FTC launches probe into OpenAI, Anthropic and other AI labs

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission is investigating OpenAI, Anthropic and other leading AI labs for potential consumer-protection violations and plans to issue legally binding Civil Investigative Demands to compel documents and executive testimony, sources tell the New York Post.
