DoorDash launches text-to-order AI agent for Apple Messages
DoorDash announced a text-to-order AI agent that lets U.S. users place orders through Apple Messages by sending prompts like “order my usual,” asking for specific dishes, or requesting local recommendations; the agent can suggest carts, send photos, and handle mixed dietary preferences for group orders. DoorDash also said it will begin testing delivery drones with select restaurants in Northern California and is opening a U.S. waitlist for the new feature.
