Instagram adds AI “creative assistant” to Edits app to advise creators
Instagram’s standalone Edits app will include an AI “creative assistant” that analyzes a user’s Instagram metrics (likes, views, retention, shares) to offer suggestions on what to change, how to hook viewers, captions, trending audio, and scripts; basic access is free with heavier usage available via a Meta One subscription. The feature mirrors recent YouTube AI creator tools and raises questions about platform-driven optimization, content homogenization, and whether advanced insights will be gated behind paid tiers.
