At its Dev Day conference, OpenAI launched Space, a shared workspace inside ChatGPT, plus Pages, a document editor for human-and-agent collaboration, and collaborative slides for slide creation and editing; the features integrate Dots, OpenAI’s new AI agent personas, to help automate tasks. The moves position OpenAI directly in the office-software space dominated by Microsoft and Google.
At DevDay OpenAI unveiled a major expansion of ChatGPT: an open plugin system (Plugin Extensions) and Plugin Creator, team features including ChatGPT Space (with assistant “Dot”), collaborative Pages and slide tooling, Meetings Plugin, MCP Events integration and Team Tasks, Slack/Microsoft Teams @mentions, a Pro 500 tier and an enterprise marketplace. Many features — plugin panels, shareable Sites and automated workflows — aim to turn ChatGPT into a creator and team platform rather than just a conversational bot.
