OpenAI expands Codex with reusable cloud development environments and security tools
At Dev Day, OpenAI announced updates to its software engineering agent Codex, introducing reusable cloud development environments accessible across devices, a refreshed Codex CLI (including voice-driven task control), a code review integration in the ChatGPT desktop app, and a new Codex Security Cloud for scanning and fixing repo issues. The company also released API updates including a Decisions API powered by Luna and enhancements to the Agents API with support for Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents on AWS.
