Protesters gather at OpenAI DevDay to denounce ICE contracts and data centers
More than a dozen groups staged a rally outside OpenAI’s DevDay at Fort Mason in San Francisco, protesting the company’s government and immigration-enforcement contracts (notably with ICE), the environmental impact of data centers, and perceived industry concentration of power. Protesters — organized by groups including Bay Resistance, Tech Workers Coalition, SEIU, San Francisco Rising and others — distributed flyers, chanted and urged employees to oppose those contracts.
